When you have big news, you have to tell everyone about it. Here at The Early Bird Cafe, we’re proud to introduce our new Patron, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales.
We’re immensely grateful to receive the support of such a distinguished leader and important office of government.
“The Early Bird Cafe wouldn’t be able to provide such a vital service for the community if it wasn’t for our generous volunteers, funders and sponsors. We are delighted to be able to announce Her Excellency as our new patron. Her support will enable us to continue to promote Early Bird Cafe and ensure we can continue to grow and meet the needs of those experiencing disadvantage in Sydney.

Last year, Her Excellency, joined our Early Bird Cafe team of volunteers to help to serve take away breakfasts and brighten the mornings of many who were struggling in Sydney’s CBD.
In a thank you for our volunteers, Her Excellency writes:
“This year, in all weather conditions and throughout the pandemic, you were there – masked up! – and ready to not only serve, but listen to those going through tough times, in the toughest times for our community. It was a great reassurance to them to know there was somewhere to turn for a cup of tea, a hot and nourishing breakfast, and a warm and friendly chat.”
We’re looking forward to the next time she joins us in 2022 to help provide brekky and the continued support she provides to help make a real difference to the disadvantaged in Sydney’s CBD.
